It is with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Mike Jackson, peacefully, on Sunday, June 22, 2014. Predeceased by the love of his life, Betty Jackson, in 2012. Dad was so dedicated to his family, and that will be terribly missed. He showed incredible strength every day, while enduring many medical challenges. He did this with dignity and a determination to make no excuses for not enjoying a full life. Dad is survived by his children; Deb (Jim), Michelle, Scott (Celeste) and Craig (Dom). Grandpa (and Poppa) to Eric, Meagan, Shae, Kaitlyn, Shannon, Kristen, Rory, Abbey and Lauren. Missed dearly by his mother, Ella, and his brothers Roger and Peter. Following Mike’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Special thanks to Dr. Knox and the nursing team at S.B.G.H.C. for all their support during dad's care. The family would like to request any donations go to the S.B.G.H.C. (Kincardine Hospital Foundation) where Mike spent his remaining working career as CEO.
