Ronald John Cameron of Kincardine passed away in Lakeland, Florida suddenly on March 28, 2017 with his loving wife by his side at the age of 70. Beloved husband of JoAnn (nee Wayland) for almost 50 years, sadly falling shy by a mere 18 days. Cherished father to Lisa (Ken) Holmes of Kingston and Rona-Jo (Adam) Peters of Cambridge. Left to mourn his passing are his five grandchildren Steven Holmes of Ottawa, Melissa Holmes of Toronto, and Hugh, Hayden, and Maisy Peters of Cambridge. Missed by brothers-in-law Orville (Beverly) of Goderich and George Wayland of Kincardine, his sister Debbie Laing (John) of London and his brother, Jim Cameron (Beverly) of Walkerton. Fondly remembered by his many cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Mervin Cameron and Dorothy Dishman, and his sister-in-law Shirley Wayland. Ron was born in Kincardine and had made it his home for the majority of his life. He was an electrician by trade and worked for Ontario Hydro as a control technician for over 30 years. He was a long time member of the Kincardine Legion, the Masons, a devoted Canadian Blood Donor, and a member of the Kincardine Golf Course. Ron had an easy going manner, always quick with a helping hand and genuine smile. He was a true heart - kind, personable and so comfortable to be around. He truly was one of the best and will be so very missed by his family and friends. Everyone is invited to a Celebration of Ron's Life at the Governor’s Inn in Kincardine on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 1:30-4:00. A tribute and toast to Ron will take place at 2:00.
