Royston "Roy" Woodrow

Royston Lloyd “Roy” Woodrow of Kincardine and formerly of Niagara Falls, passed away peacefully, after a long struggle at South Bruce-Grey Health Centre, Kincardine on Saturday, July 30th, 2016, at the age of 86. Born in London, England on March 9th, 1930 to the late Jack and Lillian (née Lloyd) Woodrow. Roy served with the Royal Signal Corp in Korea, had a successful business career with the Niagara Parks Commission, he had a great love of sailing and for his dog Gypsy. He is survived by his son Stephen Woodrow, sister Joan Wood, several nieces and nephews including Christine Wood, Jennifer Webb and Margaret Breen as well as many great-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wives June (Stephen’s mother) and Teresa, brother John Woodrow and brother-in-law Stanley Wood. A memorial service to celebrate Roy’s life will be held at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine on Tuesday, August 9th, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ken Craig officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Kincardine Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
