Stephen MacGregor Obituary

Stephen David MacGregor, (Retired Station Chief of Kincardine Fire Department) of Kincardine, peacefully at his residence, on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at the age of 65. Beloved husband of Emily (née LeFort). Dear father of Christine (Stephane) Lamothe of Orleans, Calvin MacGregor (Alicia Fabry) of Orleans and Stacy MacGregor of Kincardine. Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Elise and Justin Lamothe and Hamish MacGregor. Also remembered by Lori, Robbin, Sheri-Lynn & Rondi. Predeceased by his parents Pearl (née MacDougall) and Ernest MacGregor. Emily, Christine, Calvin and Stacy will be forever grateful to Steve’s donor family, as it allowed him to enjoy three more years with his family and a chance to meet his three wonderful grandchildren. Steve loved being a Fire Fighter, a leader, a volunteer and a family man. He accomplished so much and yet he still managed to create his “bucket list” and achieved all his goals right to the very last day. Steve touched the lives of hundreds of people directly and indirectly in so many ways and he will be missed by the very community he lived in and loved. Visitation at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, Kincardine on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, May 28, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Cluley officiating. Interment, Kincardine Cemetery. Memorial donations to Camp Bucko or Trillium Gift of Life Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
