Paterson, Donald: Passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2019 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Cecilia for 58 years. Cherished dad of Lynn (Gerard) Reinhart and Deb "Bubs" (Steve) Seeley. Dear grandpa to Jason (Melissa), Keith (Sabrina) and Matthew Reinhart and Ben and Laura Seeley. He will be lovingly remembered by his lifelong special friend Fred Bruder as well as many other dear friends. Don was always there for his family. He was interested in every little detail of their lives and was a proud supporter at graduations and all other memorable moments. Lynn and Debbie feel very blessed and proud to have had such a kind, thoughtful and caring man for their Dad. Don loved his sports! Playing, coaching, volunteering and being his grandchildren's biggest fan. Don was a proud employee of JM Schneiders working as a master butcher and company representative. Don enjoyed his last 10 years working as an usher at the auditorium and especially enjoyed when the Kitchener Rangers were playing. He was really more than an usher though, he was a friend to all and greeted them with a handshake and warm conversation. Don enjoyed walking along the beach and watching many sunsets at the cottage with his wife, family and friends. Don's family will receive relatives and friends from 11:30 am - 1:15 pm on Friday, December 20, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Private cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow.
