Wilbert Kuehl

Kuehl, Wilbert: Passed away on Friday May 23, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 86. Wilbert was born May 8,1928 in Haggerty Township. Dear son of the late John and Ella Kuehl (nee: Zummach) of Haggerty Township. Beloved husband of 67 years to Vivian (nee: Lee) Kuehl. Loving father of Scott Lee Kuehl and wife Elizabeth Marie (nee: Fitzgerald) Kuehl of Cambridge and the late Wayne Ralph Kuehl (1976). Cherished by two grandchildren. Wilbert was the last surviving child from 16 siblings. Predeceased by siblings, Fred, John, Alma, Helen, Aaron, Alvira, Elmer, Maureen, Dolores, Percy, Marguerite, Arthur, Delbert, Howard and Hazel. Survived by a sister-in-law Margaret Kuehl (the late Howard). Wilbert was a dedicated and hard working employee for the City of Kitchener, he worked his way up to general superintendent before retiring after 38 years of service. A special thank you to the doctors and nursing staff on Castle Kilbride floor at Sunnyside Nursing Home for the wonderful care Wilbert was given. Wilbert's family will receive relatives and friends for a memorial visitation from 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Memorial services will be conducted at 11 am on Saturday, May 31, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ross Gill officiating. Followed by a reception at the funeral home.
