DR. Robert J. Watson ~ entered into rest in his 88th year on Monday December 3, 2018 at his home in the beautiful hills of Cavan. In addition to practising surgery at the Ross Memorial hospital in Lindsay for 40 years, Bob enjoyed creating many wonderful memories with his family and friends at Cross Creeks Farm and later at Bethany Hills. Bob was the beloved husband of Margaret Jean (Smart) for 62 years. Cherished father of David (Emma), Susan Forrester (Michael), Janet Porter (Philip) and Sarah Felten (Stéphane). Loving grandfather to Zach and Dustin Forrester, Julia (Wes) Meek, Jessica (Peter) Shea, Harvey, Charlotte and Eleanor Porter, Mathis Felten. Great Grandfather to Aaron Shea and Nova Jean Meek. Dearly loved by sisters-in-law Mary Eleanor Smart and Ann Nicholas, also the Patch, Warner, Shields and Bulmer families. Predeceased by his daughter Ruthie and son Robert also parents Florence (Hunter) and Wilbert, sister and brother-in-law Gladys and Carlton Patch and cousins Donald Warner and Florence Shields. A service to celebrate Bob’s life will take place at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Lindsay on Saturday December 8, at 2:00 p.m. Interment of cremated remains to follow at Riverside Cemetery Lindsay. Donations in his memory may be made to the Ross Memorial Hospital, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church or the charity of your choice.
