Jonkman, Willem (Bill)

On Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Brockville General Hospital Palliative Care Centre at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of Truus (nee TenHoeve) and loving father of John (Nancy) of Brockville, Harry (Sheila) of North Augusta, Jeannie Fader (Ken) of Brockville, Roelie Villeneuve (Rick) of Prescott, Nora Jenkins (George) of Prescott, Hank (Gloria) of Detroit MI, and Trudy McLellan (Scott) of Almonte. Cherished grandfather of Joe, Chris, Nicole (Rod), Lisa, Christina (Ryan), Paul, Andrew (Laura), Sarah (Frank), Heather (David), Mark, Julie (Andrew), Lindsay (Paul), Katie, Amelia and Zoe (Lucas); and great-grandfather of Myla, Lucas, Sabrina, Mikaela, Lauren and Max. He was predeceased by his grandson Trevor. Also survived by his brothers, Hank (Sandy), Bert and Berend (Lorraine) and predeceased by brothers Ginus and Albert.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland, on Tuesday, July 28th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Ceremony in Celebration of Bill’s life will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, July 29th at 11:00 a.m. with interment following at Blue Church Cemetery. In remembrance, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Brockville and District Palliative Care will be gratefully acknowledged.
