Kenneth Gregg

KENNETH WILLIAM GREGG, C.S.C. It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Ken on May 13, 2015, in his 87th year, at his home with family by his side. He had planned to live a happy life until he was 100 but, unfortunately, Cancer decided this couldn’t be. Ken was a loving and dedicated Husband and Father with an ever positive attitude and a great zest for life! He was well loved by Family and Friends. He is survived by the Love of his Life, Eileen, children Laura McCulloch/David, Larry Gregg/Patty and Nancy Lynn Gregg; Grandchildren Tara Gregg, Ryan Gregg/Kathryn, Katie McCulloch/Catherine, Sara McCulloch and Grace Ruby Dow; Great-Grandchildren Ava and Aiden Kenneth Gregg; also by his sisters Nancy Bewick and Betty Townsley, as well as many nieces and nephews. A Lifetime Member of The Canadian Society of Cinematographers, he had a successful career with CBC Television in both Winnipeg and Toronto, travelling the world and winning many awards. He had just published his book of memoirs: “A 50 Year Career in Cinematography” and was very proud of this accomplishment at the age of 86! There will be a Memorial Service and Celebration of Ken’s Life at Newcastle United Church, 84 Mill St. S., Newcastle, on Monday, June 1st at 11 am. “It’s a Wrap!”
