HENDERSON, Martin Suddenly and after a long and courageous battle with cancer, Martin “Marty” Henderson succumbed and left us with peace in his mind, pain free and love in his heart. Marty knew how to live life and pursue his interests with passion, vigour and dedication. His biggest devotion was to his wife Manuela and his 2 children Jessica and Nickolas, who were with him when Marty began his new journey. Martin is survived by his wife Manuela, children Jessica Marie and Nickolas Robert James, parents Richard and Jean and mother-in-law Maria Raposo, and sadly missed by extended family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill St. S. Newcastle (905-987-3964) on Thursday, August 29th, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sick Kids Hospital Foundation or the Bowmanville Hospital Foundation – Building Fund.
