O’Kane, Margaret Mary - Passed away peacefully in her sleep in her ninety-first year on October 18, 2018. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters Eileen Black, Maureen Draper, Theresa (Walter) Zachara, Kathleen (David) Tuckey, predeceased by her daughter Anne Black (2010) and son-in-law James Draper (2006). Fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Shannon, Mairghread, Sarah, Evelyn, Elizabeth, Johnny, and Brennan and her eight great-grandchildren. Margaret enjoyed many travels during her lifetime, including through Europe and the British Isles. Closer to home, she was an avid soccer enthusiast, keen reader and historian, and a passionate trivia participant. A lifelong community volunteer, Margaret enjoyed dedicating her time to the Catholic Women’s League, as a literacy coach for both adults and children, and by singing at retirement homes throughout the City. Cremation has taken place. The family will welcome visitors at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, ON L2G 5Z7 on Thursday, October 25, 2018 between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make a memorial donation to Parkinson Canada.
