Allan Cecil Rahm

April 3, 1933 – October 6, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Allan on Saturday, October 6, 2018, peacefully at home at the age of 85. Born in Denbigh, Ontario. Son of the late William & Clara Rahm. Allan moved to Oshawa in 1958 when he became employed at General Motors of Canada and devoted 38 years there before retiring. He then spent his retirement devoting his time to his family. Predeceased by his loving & cherished wife of 55 years, Peggy (Elizabeth Fern) (Nee: Jackson) (2013), as well as his faithful and loving companion grand dog Tequila, (2012). Much loved Dad to Cecil & Ellen. Devoted Pa (Grandpa) to Jason and Michael (Sueanne). Predeceased by his brothers Arthur, Vernon, Lenard, Carl and Emil. Our lives have changed forever, Allan will be remembered for his love, patience and kindness, and will be missed by his family and friends. A special thanks to the staff at Hillsdale Adult Day Program and Durham Community Care Adult Day Programs for the care they gave Allan. We would also like to thank Lindsey Robertson from Care Partners Nursing, and ParaMed PSW staff Amanda and Jeff for their help and care they gave Al over the last 2 weeks. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Society, Lakeridge Health Cancer Centre, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Friends may call at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME Oshawa for a Funeral Service on Wednesday October 10th at 11am. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time, starting at 10am. Interment to follow at Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens, Whitby.
