PRESTON, Arthur Thomas - Passed away peacefully after courageous battle at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Monday March 21st,2016 at age 77. Survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Ruth (Kozak). Dear father of Wendy Lea and her husband John Konopacki and the late Bonnie Lyn. Grandfather of Meghan (Chris) and Mark. Predeceased by his parents, Arthur Max and Leta (Hanigan). Step – brother to John (Judy), Jim (Lee), Annette and the late Wallace. Brother in law of Cecil (predeceased), Vera and the late Jerry, Maureen and the late Fred, John and his wife Doris, Jim and his wife Sharron, and Sandra. He will be also dearly missed by his 4 legged friend Sammy, Wendy’s chocolate Labrador. Art was a 27 year, 10 month employee with GM/EDS and retired in 1996. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the caring and compassionate doctors and nursing staff on the second floor at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville for all the care given to Art and his family during his stay – words cannot express. A celebration of Art’s life will take place on Tuesday March 29, 2016 at 1 pm in the Chapel of the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East Oshawa. Visitation to take place on hour prior to service time. Memorial donations to the R.S.
