CZAJKOWSKI, Audrey Passed away peacefully at Fairview Lodge in Whitby on June 5, 2017 in her 91st year. Born May 6th, 1927 in Maidstone, England. Loving mother of Anthony Czajkowski and his wife Diane of Courtice. Grandma will be truly missed by her three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her loving husband Jozef in 2011. Predeceased by her mom and dad, her only sister Sonya, and only brother Gordon of England. Audrey married Jozef in 1948 and came to Canada in 1955. Audrey was a lovely seamstress, a member of The Ladies Auxiliary General Sikorski Polish Veterans Association, member of the Ladies Auxiliary St. Hedwig’s Church, as well as an accountant for the church. A member of the Folk Artist Council and a champion swimmer. Many thanks to the Fairview Lodge Nursing Home staff in Whitby for all of their wonderful care for Audrey. Special thanks to Marg and Maricar for all their kindness and compassion. Resting at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME(124 King St. E., Oshawa) with visitation Thursday, June 8 from 2-4 and 7-9pm, with parish prayers at 8pm. Funeral mass to take place at St. Hedwig’s Roman Catholic Church on Friday, June 9 at 10am. Interment to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to either the Parkinson’s Society or the Alzheimer’s Society are greatly appreciated.
