BEAUCHAMP, Dorothy (nee: Cats) of Courtice, ON, on Sunday, October 21, 2012, after a courageous struggle with ALS. She was predeceased by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Joris Cats, who brought the family from Holland, settling in South Gillies and later Slate River, ON. Dorothy grew up in Thunder Bay and attended Selkirk High School but moved to various other cities over the years. She is survived by her beloved husband Bill, her daughter Joyce, and grandchildren Brodie and Charlotte Wheldrake of Scarborough, as well as adult step-children Billy, Lori, Suzi, Vicki and Jeff, and their children. Also surviving are her sister and brother-in-law Tina and Albert Haute of Kakabeka, and brother and sister-in-law Mike and Judy Cats of Slate River, and her life-long friend Lorna Niemi of Blackstock, ON. As per Dorothy’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service; however her family will celebrate her life at a later date.
