McGrath, Edward - It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing Ed McGrath, born November 23 , 1925, died October, 31 2012. Ed is survived by his Wife of 61 years Dorothea McGrath. Daughters Karen and Jeff Walpole, Marion and Dave Ralston, Beverly and Terry Cowles. Loved Grandfather of seven and Great Grandfather of eleven. Ed leaves behind his Sisters Thelma Smith, Myrtle Atkins and his Brothers Carl McGrath, Delbert McGrath and Geordie Boggs all from Nova Scotia. He is predeceased by his Sister Kaye Ross and His Brothers Dan, Kennedy and Lloyd. Ed was born in Lochaber Nova Scotia, Proud Son of Daniel and Marion McGrath. Ed was a dedicated family man who immensely enjoyed family gatherings and was a very giving man anxious to help his friends and family. He was a devoted member of Cedardale United Church. Friends may call at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Monday November 5th from 1pm. The Funeral service will be held in the Chapel at 2pm.
