Egidio Riccio Obituary

RICCIO, Egidio “Gino” It is with a heavy heart as we let you all know that on Friday September 6th, 2019 we lost a very great man, Egidio (aka Gino) Riccio, age 68 years. It was sudden and unexpected. For those who didn't know him well, He was a proud, strong, confident, caring, passionate and stubborn man. He walked like he was on top of the world. Didn't care what people thought and didn't let things stand in his way. He always knew what he wanted and did whatever it took to get it. He was a great provider, husband (46 Years 09/01/1973) to my mom Stella and a great father to Emilio (Susie) and Michelina Villamere (Bryan), adored Nonno to Kaleigh, Coralynn, Andrea and Lucas, beloved brother of Nicolino (Anna), brother in laws Larry Volpe(Rose), John Volpe(Rita), Tony Volpe(Sharane). He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends in Canada, Italy and the United States. Gino was predeceased by his parents Emilio and Michelina as well as five brothers and sisters in Italy. Gino had many careers including Chrysler, Tony’s Pizza, Tony’s Restaurant and Catering, Tony’s Night Spot, Custom Racks, IPDS and finally he was a proud employee and mentor of APPCO Paving. He gave everything he had and gave it with love, passion and pride. He will be greatly missed. Please keep him in your prayers and in your thoughts as we prepare to give our last goodbyes as he moves on to live an eternal life with God. We're going to miss you. Please join his family on Thursday September 12th from 2pm to 4pm & 6pm to 8pm at Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa. A funeral mass will be held on Friday September 13th 11am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 124 Liberty Street South, Bowmanville with Entombment to follow at Resurrection Mausoleum. Memorial donations in memory of Gino to the Industrial Accident Victims of Ontario or Bowmanville Older Adult Association would be greatly appreciated by the family.
