MURPHY Elaine 1931 – 2008 - Passed away peacefully at home on Thursday July 24, 2008, at the age of 77. Beloved daughter of the late George and Hazel Murphy. Dear sister of Joan Bowles (Hugh, predeceased), Tom, Doug (Helen), Audrey Donaldson (Joe), Lena Griffin (Tom) and Lois. Predeceased by sister Marjorie Wooldridge and brothers Gerard and Kevin. Survived by brother in law Hugh Wooldridge and sisters in law Diane Murphy and Louise Murphy. A loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Resting at The Armstrong Funeral Home 124 King Street East, Oshawa, with Mass of Christian Burial at The Church of St. Gregory the Great, 194 Simcoe Street North (at Adelaide) on Monday July 28, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. Prayers at the funeral home Sunday evening. Cremation to follow with burial of ashes at St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Valcartier, Quebec, at a later date. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
