Eugene Henderson

Henderson, Sonny Eugene William – It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Sonny on November 5, 2012, due to complications of ALS. Sonny was born September 25, 1947 in Newcastle, New Brunswick. He moved to Ontario in 1962, where he found work, friends and met his future wife. Sonny proved to be a generous, kind, loving soul that captured the hearts of many. Loving husband to Dawn of 41 years. Sadly missed by his daughters Holly (Shawn Cousins) and Shawna (Nick Carchidi) and two young grandsons, Brady and Cain. Sister Gail (Wayne Atkinson) sister Sharon (Dave Hogg) and brother Gary Henderson. Dear son of the late Rose Mary and Herman Henderson of New Brunswick. Predeceased by granddaughter Breanna and nephew Andrew. He will be fondly remembered by mother in law Doreen Hurley (Clint McCormack) of West Hill and Dawn’s family and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. We want to thank the ALS Society and Community Care Partners for their generous help during his difficult struggle. A special thank you to Dr. Kevin Smith, Dr. Dobbin and the staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa and Port Perry. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa. A memorial service will be held on Saturday November 10, 2012 at 2 pm with visitation one hour prior.
