WASZCZUK, Feliksa “Felicia” Nee: Molenda It is with great sadness that we announce after a lengthy illness and courageous battle, Felicia passed away on Thursday April 18, 2013 at the age of 85, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Beloved wife of the late Gregory Waszczuk, mom and dad are together once again. Loving Mother of Henry and his wife Mary, and Lynda Shody and her husband Jerry. Lovingly remembered Grams of Michael Waszczuk (Margaret), and Jessica Bean (Matt). Babcia of Tianna, Tyler, and Teagan Shody. Great-Grandma of Jeremey and Delilah. Felicia came to Canada in 1952, with her husband and son, to start a new life after the war. She worked at Cole of California as a sewer, and then moved on to Chrysler, where she was employed until the death of her husband in 1980. She worked very hard to give her family the best quality of life. Felicia was a very giving person, volunteering many hours for St. Hedwig’s Parish as a member of the Ladies Auxilliary, the Rosary Club and the Tatry Dance Ensemble. She was also a long time member of the Polish Alliance Group 21. Those who knew Felicia, will remember her as a strong-willed but fun loving person, who helped so many people throughout her lifetime. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for the care they gave her these last few days. We would also like to extremely thank the doctors and nurses at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville for their excellent care for mom during her lengthy stay there. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Hedwig’s Roman Catholic Church Oshawa on Thursday April 25th at 10am. Interment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
