GARNER Florence Gertrude “Gert” – After a valiant fight, Gert passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 12th, 2007 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in her 85th year. Predeceased by her husband of 55 years Morris Garner. Dear mother of Scott Garner (Linda) and Karen Garner. Loving grandmother of Ryan Garner (Karlie) and great grandmother of Alexander and Jayden. Sister of Norman Smyth (Mary). Gert was a long time employee of Birk’s Jewellers, an avid Blue Jay fan and enjoyed her family. Resting at The Armstrong Funeral Home 124 King Street East with Funeral Service in the Chapel on Saturday December 15th, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Interment Thornton Cemetery.
