Ivan Klym

Klym, Ivan (John) Born January 27, 1919 in Bukovyna Province, Ukraine and passed away peacefully on February 9, 2014 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in his 96th year. Beloved husband of Mary Klym for 65 years. Ivan will be missed by his god daughter Jeanette Van Banning, his family in Ukraine and many friends in Canada. He arrived in Canada in 1948 and settled with Mary in the Kitchener area for 6 years, they then moved to Minden where they settled for 34 years. They have lived in Oshawa for the past 10 years. He was a carpenter by trade and is known for his inlay wood working in the Ukrainian motif. Resting at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Wednesday February 12th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Panachyda will be begin at 7:30 pm. Funeral Service will be held at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Orthodox Church (31 Bloor St. E, Oshawa) on Thursday February 13th at 10 am. Interment Thornton Cemetery.
