James Scott Curran Obituary

Curran, James Scott – November 14, 1951 – May 7th, 2017 After a courageous battle with cancer, God has asked Scott to be with him and become one of his angels. Scott is survived by his cherished wife of 21 years Mona Lisa, his son James Christopher (Colleen), grandson James Alistair and his daughter Sabryna Graves (Andrew). He will be missed terribly by his furry friends Gibbs & Lilo. Scott lived life to the fullest and completed most of the items on his bucket list…Husband, Father, Grandfather, Police Officer, Paramedic, Minister, School Bus Driver. His love of music led him to his position as a sales representative for Durham Radio for the past ten years. Scott was a rollercoaster enthusiast and he was so proud of his lifetime Disney pass he received from his father’s contributions to the Disney parks. The only item not achieved on his list was to jump out of a perfectly good plane! Cremation has taken place and the family would like you to join in a Celebration of Scott’s Life on Saturday May 27th 2017, 2pm, at Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa. Visitation will take place one hour to the service, 1pm to 2pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or Hospital for Sick Children. As promised, Scott is resting in his vintage Maxwell House coffee tin. Mona would like to thank the oncology staff and nurses of 6th floor C wing of Lakeridge Health Oshawa for all their support and kindness shown towards Scott throughout his time there.
