MORISSETTE, John (Jean Pierre) – Owner/Operator of John’s Garage Company Ltd., and Co-founder of the Preservation Sanctuary Camp Club (P.S.C.C). With his loving family at his side on Sunday November 6, 2011 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in his 85th year. John, beloved husband of the late Beatrice Morissette (nee Branch) 2007. Much loved father of James (Jim) Morissette and his wife Margaret, Jeanna Simpson and her husband Todd, Robyn Braidek, June Kinniburgh and her husband Scott, and Mark Morissette and his wife Christie. Proud grandfather of Tabatha and her husband Rob, Aaron and his wife Crystal, Sarah, Michael, Tommy and his wife Courtney, Billy, Adam, Katelyn, Conner, JulieAnn, and great grandfather of Chantell, Joseph, Jacob, and Karter. Dear brother of Maurice, Simone, Therese, Laurette, Judith, Marcel, Suzanne and Remi. John gave of his time to assist others at Simcoe Hall Settlement House, Community Care Durham, Meals on Wheels, and was a member of The Oshawa Flying Club. Friends may call at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Wednesday, November 9th from 7-9 pm, and on Thursday, November 10th from 11 am until 12:30 pm. Brief statements of remembrance will be shared at 11:45 am with the procession to the Funeral Mass at St. Therese Catholic Church, 3300 Courtice Road North to follow immediately. Cremation.
