Lappin, Joy Ann (nee Norton)
With so much grace and resilience, passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Whitby on Tuesday April 29, 2014 at the age of 72. Beloved wife for 50 years of Rodger Lappin. Loving mother of Kelly Fallis (Gord) and Jodi Lappin (Kevin). Adored nana to Ethan and Maddie. Predeceased by her parents Elsie and Wilson Norton, sister in law Sheila and brothers in law Ted and Gerry. Survived by her sister Marilyn (Don) and sister in law Betty. Cherished aunt to Hayley and Tanner, Kim (Dave), Curt (Wendy), Jill (Leigh), Debbie (Derrick), Dave (Sangita) as well as many other great nieces and nephews. Wonderful friend to so many. A special thank you to Michelle Acorn and the nurses on the 4th floor of Lakeridge Health Whitby for their unwavering care and compassion for Joy. At Joy’s request, a private funeral service will be held at Northminster United Church in Oshawa. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
