WHALLEY, Mary Irene “JOYCE” (nee Smith) Passed away peacefully at the Hillsdale Estates on Tuesday September 27, 2011 in her 89th year. Predeceased by Robert Oliver Whalley (1997). Loving mother to Dennis (Sandra Bouwhuis) and predeceased by her daughter Sandra Fulford. Cherished grandmother to Douglas Norman Whalley, Darrin Bradd Whalley, William Bowser and Ernest Bowser and great grandmother to Sydney Whalley, Tristen Whalley, Seth Gillespie, William Bowser and Ernest Bowser. Will be missed by her siblings Gladys Connelly (Giles), Jessie Crowles (Lorne), John Smith (Millie) and Fred Smith (Ruth). A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Sunday October 2nd from 7-9 pm. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday October 3rd at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel. Visitation will take place one hour prior to service time. Interment Mount Lawn Cemetery. A reception will follow the service at Hampton United Church (5454 Old Scugog Rd, Hampton, On). Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
