January 18, 1937 – December 31, 2017 Passed away on Sunday December 31, 2017 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, in his 81st year. George will be greatly missed by his loving wife Dianne (nee: Hickey), who he spent 54 wonderful years with. His daughters, Tricia (Bob), Ingrid (Dave) Hayes, and Karen (Stephen). His grandchildren, Carson and Malcolm Hayes. He will also be forever remembered in the hearts of his brother and sister-in-law Peter and Marion. George was a lifelong member of Club Loreley, Oshawa. A special “Thank-You” to the nurses and PSW’s at Lakeridge Health Oshawa & Whitby, Hillsdale, and Frost Manor Lindsay for all their loving care. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME Oshawa for Visitation on Thursday January 4th from 2pm-4pm & 7pm-9pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Philip the Apostle Roman Catholic Church on Friday January 5th at 11am. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations are appreciated to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the World Wildlife Fund (WWF).
