Simachowskyi, Katerina – Peacefully passed away on Sunday March 24, 2013, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Katerina Simachowskyi in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Michael, who predeceased her in 1976. Loving mother of Vera Simachowskyi (Johnny Yanevski) and Michael Simachowskyi (Joanne Nichols). Dear Baba of twins Zennen & Mavrikk and Lucas. Predeceased by her sisters Alexandra, Raisa, Maria & Tatiana. Lovingly remembered by all of her family in Ukraine. Katerina treasured all of her participation and friendships through her church. Resting at Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa with Funeral Service at Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist, 35 Bloor Street East, Oshawa on Wednesday March 27th at 10am. Interment to follow at St. Wolodymyr & St. Olha Cemetery. Panachyda will be held on Tuesday evening at 7:30pm. Memorial donations to Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. John the Baptist would be greatly appreciated by Katerina’s family. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2pm to 4pm & 6pm to 8pm.
