Krystyna Lia

Lia, Krystyna (nee Kilian) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, Krystyna Lia, on Saturday, July 13, 2013. Krystyna was born on December 2, 1960 in Warsaw, Poland. In 1964, she immigrated to Canada with her parents. For the remainder of her life, she resided in Oshawa, Ontario and worked as a proud employee for the Regional Municipality of Durham, Hillsdale Estates. Krystyna is survived by her loving family and friends, especially her son: Joseph, her husband: Joe, her mother: Helena, her sister: Elizabeth, her nephew: Alexander, and her niece: Katherine; along with many aunts, cousins and extended family members. She is predeceased by her father: Ryszard and her brother in law: David, who she loved both very much. Friends and family may call at Armstrong Funeral Home – 124 King Street East (905-433-4711) for visitation on Friday, July 19th from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Prayers will commence at 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Hedwig’s Roman Catholic Church (411 Olive Avenue, Oshawa, Ontario) on Saturday, July 20th at 11:00 am. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery (355 Taunton Road East, Whitby). Donations in memory of Krystyna can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Durham Regional Cancer Centre.
