SOLOMAN, Laverne James 1940-2016 (GM Retiree-30 years) Passed away at Scarborough General Hospital on March 19, in his 76th year. Predeceased by his parents, Gladys and Willard Soloman, and his sister-in-law, Elsie Soloman. Loving husband of Susie for 57 years. Cherished father of Larry Soloman, Linda Ring(Jerry), Glenn Rideout(Geraldine), and Bruce Rideout. Brother of Les Soloman. Laverne will be greatly missed by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, as well as all of his extended family and friends. Friends may call for visitation on Thursday, March 24 at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME(124 King St. E., Oshawa) from 12pm until the time of service in the funeral home chapel at 1pm. Interment to follow at Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association are greatly appreciated.
