JENKINSON, Lillian (nee: Hockney) Kielly Lillian passed away peacefully at Hillsdale Terraces on Sunday October 13, 2013 at the age of 97. Lily was born in Normandy-by-Spital, Lincolnshire, England on February 8, 1916. She came to Canada in 1953. Beloved wife of the late Fred Jenkinson (wed from 1938-1973), and the late Harvey Kielly (wed from 1977-1987). Loving mother of two sons; the late Charles Jenkinson (died 2009), and John (Pamela) Jenkinson. Cherished Nana to Eric (Tracey), Laura, and Michelle (Ashley). Lovingly remembered by great grandchildren; Emily, Joseph, and Nora. Predeceased by all her siblings; Frank, Walter, Bill, David, Tom, Mary, and Ann, all of England. Lillian was a longtime employee of the IOF-Independent Order of Foresters (1959-1980). She was an avid gardener and she enjoyed spending winters in Florida. Lil loved to return home to England and visit all her family, especially her niece Susan, and Mike, Samantha Griffiths, and her sister-in-law Win Phillips. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff on the 3rd floor, Lighthouse Lane of Hillsdale Terraces. Lillian will be greatly missed by her family in Canada and England, and her friends June and Al Cane, and Peggy McDavid, and Inga. As per her wishes cremation has taken place at Thornton Crematorium in Whitby and her cremated remains were placed in the memorial scattering garden.
