Walton, Loraine “Joyce” – Passed away on Saturday August 21st, 2010 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Joyce Walton in her 79th year was predeceased by her husband Donald Walton in 1992. Loving mother of David and Dawn Lynn. Joyce leaves behind her beloved grandson Brandon. She was always so proud of him and his accomplishments, especially his educational achievements and scholarships. Joyce was looking forward to seeing Brandon attend Waterloo University this fall. Joyce is lovingly remembered by her sister Elaine McLean of London, ON and her brother Fred Essery of Oshawa, ON. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews, Cheryl Grasby & her husband Larry, Robin Stephenson & her husband Greg, Kevin John and his wife Kim, Laurie Essery and Terry Essery. Joyce courageously managed her Leukemia & illnesses throughout the years relying on her natural medications and wonderful sense of humor. Joyce was passionate about her garden, her pets and most especially her family. Rested at Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa. A complete funeral service was held in the chapel on Wednesday August 25th, 2010 at 2:30pm. A graveside service will take place at a later date. Memorial donations to the Humane Society of Durham would be appreciated. Visitation was held on Tuesday from 2pm-4pm & 7pm-9pm. Joyce’s family is so grateful for everyone’s support and kindness at this difficult time. A special thanks to the staff of Lakeridge Health Oshawa & Bowmanville.
