Louise Geikie McKnight (nee Dreyer) September 26, 1915 – February 20, 2014 Louise passed away quietly at the Markham Stouffville Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Creemore, Ontario, the daughter of Rev. W.G Dreyer and Gertrude Law. The second youngest of a family of seven. As a young girl she lived in a number of small Ontario towns as her father’s parish changed. She attended Bishop Bethune College, Oshawa and Branksome Hall, Toronto. Married John G. Geikie (deceased) on September 21, 1935. Survived by one daughter, Ann Selby (Bill) of Seagrave, Ontario. Two grandchildren, Mary Biggar (Ian Kilgour) of Toronto and John Biggar of Collingwood. Three great grandchildren, Alex Biggar, Adam Biggar and Robin Kilgour. Married Gordon McKnight (deceased) in 1981. Louise enjoyed a lifetime love of family, golf and bridge. She was a former member of the Oshawa Golf Club, Muskoka Lakes Golf and Country Club and The Toronto Hunt. A Memorial Service will be held at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Tuesday February 25th at 11 am. The family appreciates the kindness and care shown by the staff and caregivers of Sunrise Senior Living in Unionville and the doctors and nurses of the Markham Stouffville Hospital.
