Marnie died unexpectedly as a result of a chronic illness on April 7, 2016, surrounded by her loving siblings. She is deeply missed by her mother Agnes (John), sister Geri (Steve, Jamie & Megan), brother Jim (Nancy, Owen & Greg), sister Gwen (Phil, Luke, Sam & Claire) and brother Phil. Marnie's memorial service will be held on what would have been her 60th birthday: April 24, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the Armstrong Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marnie's preferred charity, the David Suzuki Foundation.
