Campbell, Michael – It is with the deepest sadness and broken hearts that the Campbell family announces the passing of their cherished Michael. He died suddenly but peacefully while being held by family and friends on Friday July 3, 2009 at Toronto Western Hospital at the very young age of 39, after a very brief 48 hour battle with an extremely rare form of leukemia. Beloved and cherished husband to Donna (nee Pittman), devoted dad and best friend to Michael, much loved son to Bev and Larry Campbell, doting big brother to Marnie (Troy), son in law to Dorothy Pittman and Jim Harding, and Jim and Val McConnell, brother in law to Lainie and Sean Walton, Jamie and Danielle McConnell, and Heidi McConnell. Loving uncle to Mathew, Lily, Zachary and Violet. Michael will also be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all his family, co-workers, and many close friends. Michael was full of life and always knew how to have a good time. His laugh came right from the belly and was contagious to all. The most important thing to him was his family and friends and he cherished them deeply. Michael was everybody’s rock and a piece of our hearts will be missing forever. A Celebration of Michael’s life will be held on Saturday July 11, 2009 from 2 pm – 3 pm at Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa, with a reception to follow at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Michael’s son, Michael Campbell’s education fund, an would be greatly appreciated
