Champagne, Pasqualina (Lena) – April 12th, 1928 – April 4th, 2015 It is with our deepest heartache, that the family announces the peaceful passing of Lena Champagne in her 86th year at her home on Saturday April 4th, 2015. She was surrounded by her loving and devoted husband Lionel of 40 years, with her children and family by her side. Pasqualina was born on April 12, 1928 I Regio Calabria, Italy. The Lord has reunited Lena with her mother Maria Leuzzi, Nonna Concetta and son in law Nicholas Panasky. Our mother was passionately devoted to her family and deeply adored all of her children. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Lillian (Vincenzo), Laura (Richard), Anita (Odel), Helena, Linda, Lena (Peter) and two sons Richard and Anthony. Gramma will be dearly missed by her 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren and her beloved dog Bear Bear. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to her family physician, Dr. Paulovic, Neurologist Dr. Crisp, Lakeridge Palliative Healthcare Team, Community Care Durham (Respite Team), Revere Caregivers, especially PSW caregiver Darlene Smith who was adored and loved by Lena very much. The family would also like to thank all of their friends for their support and prayers during this difficult time. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Friday 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 pm. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday April 11, 2015 at 1 pm.
