CURTIS, Ralph Douglas, AKA Texx/DJ Texx – With family at his side after a long battle with lung cancer on Thursday September 22nd, 2016 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 59. Ralph, loving husband, soul mate and best friend to Christine (Chris) Kanuch for 21 years. Missed by Donna Chapman (Noyes); mother of Ralph’s two daughters; Suzanne Gourgouvelis (Justin) and Amanda Curtis. Proud grandpa of Victoria, Sophia, Nicholas and Chloe-Anne. Step brother of Michael Curtis. Beloved Papa to his “Furry daughter” Precious Pup. Now reunited with “Fur Babies” Shannon the Lab, Barney Boy, Lady Girl and Spunky the Cat. Ralph is predeceased by his parents William (Bill) Curtis and Grace Hudson and stepfather Bert Nugent. Ralph played and coached baseball & bowling and loved darts. He was born in Oshawa but was raised in Ajax. He was a former member of the Ajax Lion’s Club and Ajax Colour Guard. He loved to DJ, line dance, watch Nascar Races, attend old car shows, also a fond lover of eagles, wolves and nature. Friends may call at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Tuesday September 27th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral service in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday September 28th at 10:30am. Interment Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Whitby.
