Raymond Drumm Oshawa, Ontario Obituary

Raymond Drumm

Drumm, Raymond Nathan We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our father Ray while under the care and compassion of the team at Hillsdale Terraces “Rose Garden”, Oshawa on Sunday July 2, 2017 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Jean for 57 years. Loving father of Beverley (Ken Richardson), Paul, Dianne (Brad Hyde) and James (Kathy). Cherished grandfather of Eric, Kaitlyn (Gord La Porte), Stephen, Christopher, Heather (Liam Doorly), Laura (Rob Gould), Alan, Sarah, Rory, Scott, and Nathan. Great grandfather to six. Ray was born in Vernonville, ON., and grew up operating the family farm from the age of 12, until his employment at General Motors, Oshawa. Although he continued to work there for 32 years, some of his fondest memories were of life on the farm. He also enjoyed hunting, golfing, and playing cards. A dedicated member of St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church in Oshawa for over 60 years and a member of Full Gospel Men’s Fellowship for over 40 years, it was with strong conviction that he worked until 90 years of age, volunteering his services. A special thank you to Hillsdale Terraces from his family. Ray is Resting at the Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Wednesday July 5th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm with prayers at 8:15 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Gregory the Great Roman Catholic Church (214 Simcoe St.N, Oshawa) on Thursday July 6th at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated to the R.S. McLaughlin Cancer Centre or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
