Lessard, René Joseph – Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Wednesday March 4, 2009. René at 78 years of age. Beloved husband to his devoted & caring wife Simone (Bélanger) and proud & loving father of Lyne (Christian), Jean-Pierre (Helena), Mario (Tammy), Marie-France (Rick), & André. Dearly remembered by his grandchildren Gisèle, Pierre, Meghan, Melissa, Nicole, Luke, Julia and godchild Linda. Dear son of the late Elise Giguère & Herménégilde Lessard. Dear brother of the late Barnabé (Marie-Ange), Adrien (Amanda), Annette (Gérard), Noël, Hormidas, Louis-Philippe, Gabrielle (Bernadin), Lorraine (Armand), Yvonne, Jeanne(Adhemar), Madeleine (Wellie), Jean-Paul, Fernand, Paul-Emile and Diane. He will be lovingly remembered by his brothers Rosaire (dec.Marie-Jeanne), Fernand (Cécile), sister Jeanne D’arc (dec.Gaudias), in laws Denise, Hélène, Yvette, Lorraine (Louis), Béatrice (Clément), Thérèse (Roland) Marie-Ange (Adonia), Denise (Jean), Eddy (Ginette), Denis, Monique (Léopold), Thérèse, Donat (Thérèse), Rose and his many nieces and nephews. René was a proud member “Club Canadian Français”, “Jeunesse D’Hier”, “Cursillo”, Sir Knight with Knights of Columbus with Notre-Dame #8549 and CAW Local 222.
