PURTELL, Robert (Bob) --1933 - 2013 Bob died peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, on July 19, 2013, surrounded by the love of his family. Beloved husband, of 44 years, to Mary Lou, father and father-in-law of Nelson and Donna of Oshawa, Steve and Vickie of Edmonton and Clayton of Toronto. He cherished his beloved grandchildren, Christopher and Nicole as well as Katie Jordan, his beautiful god-daughter. He bravely fought congestive heart failure the past fourteen months and lived every day with dignity and compassion. Our deepest appreciation to the caring and considerate staff on 5G at Lakeridge Health who made a difficult time bearable. To honour Bob's wishes, there is to be no funeral. A celebration of Bob's life will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa.
