STAINTON, Ross “Sam” WWII Veteran General Motors (38 years) Ontario Housing Association GM Salaried Retirees (GENMO) Electrical Maintenance Association Zion United Church and Cemetery Board Died peacefully at home with family by his side on December 8th, 2012, at the age of 88 years. Dear husband of Marg (nee: McIlquham). Loving father of Laurie, Lisa (Frank), and the late Marla (Matt). Grandfather of 7 grandchildren, Adam, Lynnsey, Bradley, Matthew, Kimberley, Mark, and Christopher. Great grandfather of Taylor, Jacob, Bella, Peyton, and Isabella. Brother of Grace (late Roy), the late Keith (late Muriel), and the late James (Ruth). Will be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the Veteran’s Affairs CCAC and Dr. Kevin Coreless and Staff. Sam will be loved and missed by family and his many friends. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME 124 King Street East, Oshawa (905) 433-4711 with visitation on Wednesday December 12th from 7pm until 9pm. As per Sam’s wishes, a private family service has been held. Memorial donations will be greatly appreciated to the R.S. McLaughlin Cancer Centre or the Veteran Affairs Canada.
