Wasyl Jaworski

Jaworski, Wasyl (Bill) - Peacefully and surrounded by family on Monday May 12, 2014 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in his 92nd year. Devoted husband to Antonia (Tina) nee Petruk, for 67 years,. Beloved father of Ron(Irene), and John(Lynda). Proud Dido of Danylo, Jenna and Ella. Wasyl is predeceased by his three sisters and brother in Ukraine. Born in the village of Terlo, Ukraine, and left home at the age of 9, he survived through the challenges of communism, WWII, and Displaced Persons Camps to make Canada his home. Wasyl was a gentle, kind and caring man with a talent for story telling and a wonderful sense of humour – he always had a joke to tell. He loved to have company for dinner and was always open to a game of cards. He was a contented man whose love of his family and friends was paramount in his life. Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. George the Great Martyr Ukrainian Catholic Church (Lviv & Albert), on Saturday May 17th, at 10 am. Interment at Sts.
