Lane, Marilyn (nee Jasper) Peacefully, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hamilton, on Monday September 9, 2019, a lifelong resident of Paris, in her 85th year. Beloved wife to Bill’ loved mom to Susan Buck (Tom), and Ken (Erica); cherished gram to Kara (Noah), Sarah Maccuish (Adrian), Jason Lane, Jennie Curtis, and Matthew Buck (Stacey) and great grandma to 7 great grandchildren; dear sister to Carol Lewis (Brad) and sister in law to Lynda Best (Andy), Joan and Lynette Jasper. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Felix and Bertha, and brothers Ron, Gerald, Ken and Doug Jasper. Marilyn taught her family how to love and care for others. She was a care provider to many people herself over the years. She worked in retail for a number of years in downtown Paris. Once grandchildren arrived, she retired to enjoy them. She also supervised children at Central School in her role as a "Lunch Mom", where she enjoyed watching the children grow up over the years. Marilyn was a lifelong member of St. James Anglican Church and was involved in Ladies Group and the Church Fall Festival. Marilyn took pride in her home and enjoyed puttering in her garden. She was an avid reader and enjoyed collecting tea pots over the years. Cremation has taken place. A family service will be held with Interment Paris Cemetery.
