Born in Newry, County Down, Northern Ireland, Brian Desmond Grant was the eldest of his siblings, Edmund (Jeanette) and Anne (Colin). After moving to Canada in 1974, Brian spent many years in hotel management with the Holiday Inn in London. Brian passed away on April 1, 2019, at Chartwell Long Term Care in Parkhill after receiving wonderful care from the staff and volunteers there.

Uncle to Grainne, Breege and Brendan in Canada as well as Matthew and Nicholas in England. Brian is also survived by many great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends continue to remember Brian’s life noted for his reservation, good manners, intelligence and love of golf. Donations in Brian’s name are appreciated to the Chartwell Memorial Fund.
