Mary Louise Patten (Thomas) of London, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Huronview Home For The Aged at the age of 100.

Wife of the late Thomas Neil Patten. Mother of Leigh Selk (Jerry), of Bayfield, and their daughter Amanda Selk (Mark Craig). Great grandmother of Calvin and Allienna. Mother of Kathy Patten Heal (the late Mike Heal) of London and her children Tom Chatterley (Kim), Chris Patten (Laura) and Rebecca Brown. Great grandmother of Clara, Lily, Tim and Jenna. Mother of Susan Patten van Baardwyk (Mike) of Bayfield, son in law Terry Walzak (the late Janie Patten Walzak) and their children Natalie (Adam Nicholson), Jordan, Emily and Great grand daughter Andie Jane. Mary was the God mother to Mike Fitzgerald and Aunt to Ted Fitzgerald. Mary is predeceased by her sister Ruth Fitzgerald.

Mary Patten was in her one hundred and first year! She was always considered a visionary. She was the oldest living Graduate of the University of Western Ontario obtaining her degree of Bachelor's of Science and Nursing.

She was a Bridge Master, Nature and Animal lover, inspiring all who knew her. She was always accepting and affirming of the differences in everyone. She will be long remembered and sorely missed.

A private family service will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery on Thursday, February 21 with Rev. David Carrothers officiating. A gathering to Celebrate Mary's Life will take place this summer.

As Mary Patten would say, "most of all, I wish you love."
