Peacefully at Marianhill Residence, following a long struggle with Alzheimers, surrounded by the love of his family, on Saturday January 12, 2019 at the age of 85 years. Wil Godin of Pembroke beloved husband of Helen Godin (Tate-Dysart). Loved stepfather to Heather Hughes (Ken) and Bruce Dysart (Melodie). Loving Papa of Gavin and Fiona Hughes and Lola and Libby Dysart. Predeceased by sisters Antoinette Carmichael, Lucille Scharff, Marie-Jeanne O’Neill, Aline Kerr, Marjorie Hawthorne and infant Blanche and brothers Joseph, Hector Jr., Emile, Daniel, Maurice, David, and Francois Godin. Brother-in-law to Maria, Coris and Lorraine, Marion Vallentgoed (late Merrill) Bob Tate (Lorraine), Brian Tate (Nancy) and Penny Wachter (Harold). Son of the late Hector and Evelyn (nee Sylvester) Godin. Sadly missed by all his nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join Wil’s Family for a Memorial Funeral Mass which will be celebrated on Saturday morning January 19th at 11:00 o’clock in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Lourdesview Drive, Pembroke. Spring Interment St. Columba’s Cemetery. In memory of Wil, donations to the Marianhill Alzheimer’s Unit or The Colleen Tate Memorial Bursary, University of Toronto would be appreciated.
