Obituary of Alicja Wanda Ziubrzycki ZIUBRZYCKI, Alicja Wanda “Alice”: Alicja Wanda Ziubrzycki, known by many as “Alice” passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, April 10th 2019 at 2:30am after a hard and courageous fight against cancer. In her last hours of life, she was surrounded by her four children, sister and two close family friends. She was born on January 25th 1958 in Toronto, Ontario, to Bronislaw and Helen Ziubrzycki. Alicja was a loving and devoted mother to four children, Crystal, Nathan, Michael and Alicia. Years before she started a family of her own, Alicja became a mother figure for Corean Eatmon. She always had a maternal instinct and endless amount of care for others. She would never let anyone go cold or on an empty stomach. Alicja will also be forever remembered by her grandchildren Ashton and Reah-Jo, sister Barbara “Basia”, nieces and nephew Michelle, Natalie and Ryan and long-time family friend Gary Lech. A funeral service will take place on Thursday April 18th 2019 at 2:30pm atthe Ashburnham Funeral Home & Reception Centre followed by a reception at the funeral home. Reverend Gordon T. Finlay will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made through Alicja’s Memorial page at www.ashburnhamfuneral.ca, which will be going towards the funeral costs for the family.
