Obituary of Amy Mary Downs DOWNS, Amy Mary (née Dangerfield) died peacefully the evening of March 5th, 2018, at the age of 94, in her room at Princess Gardens in Peterborough, ON with her son Greg holding her hand. She will be missed by her three children, Bridget Kaye of Cannington, ON, Gregory Downs (and wife Kate) of Peterborough ON, and Lyndsay Downs (and husband Ed) of Seattle, WA, as well as her seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Adam, Sandy, Jeremy, Timothy, Brian, and Anthony, and her five great-grandchildren. Amy was born in England, emigrated with her husband Gordon in 1957, and lived in Toronto for 52 years before moving to Peterborough in 2009. Sadly, her beloved husband Gordon died in 1977. Amy was a highly organized business woman and worked as the Executive Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for 10 years, and then as a Finance Director with the United Church of Canada until her retirement in 1987. Amy was a member and tireless volunteer for Eglinton St George's United Church in Toronto and had many cherished friends there. Donations in sympathy may be made to her Church. A memorial service will be held at the Princess Gardens Chapel in Peterborough, 11am, March 17, 2018
