Obituary of Amy van den Heuvel van den Heuvel, Amy Elizabeth Our dear Amy passed away on Tuesday March 6, 2012. She lived 90 years of life in England and Canada; filled with joy, love and peace. Art and Dance were threads throughout her life. She was a ballet prote´ge´ and danced in the most prestigious theaters in London. She left a legacy of love. Her loving husband of 57 years Abraham van den Heuvel and Amy enjoyed many years of enjoyment of the arts, photography, and nature. Amy and Bram began their life together in Orono where they raised their four boys; Russell (Edna) Rogerson, Dane (Brea) Rogerson, Craig (Debbie) Rogerson, Blake (Janet) van den Heuvel, and where she shared her gift of dance with the community. She will be lovingly remembered by her bounty of grand and great-grandchildren. Dear sister of John Cook and the late Jenny Norton and Florence Reid. The Family wishes to thank all of the care givers that gave so much of their hearts these past months; your amazing support, care and compassion have been a tremendous source of comfort to Amy and Bram. A Celebration of Amy's Life will be held at the ORONO UNITED CHURCH, 111 Church Street N., Orono on Friday, March 9, 2012 at 2 p.m. If desired, directions to the celebration, condolences to the family and donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Peterborough and Area may be made at www.CommunityAlternative.ca or by calling COMMUNITY ALTERNATIVE FUNERAL HOME at 705-742-1875.
