Obituary of Arthur Ronald Vowles VOWLES, Arthur Ronald - It is with great sadness that the family of Arthur Ronald Vowles announces his passing at PHRC on March 18th, 2017 in his 67th year. Art was the beloved partner and best friend of Leona Turcotte. Loving father of Heather Bunda (Doug), Brandy Hyland (Scott), Amber Vowles, Katee Turcotte (Jay), Nicole Turcotte (Devon) and proud Grandpa of nine grandchildren. Brother of John (Cathy), Arnold (Kathy), Gaylene Carl (David), Roger (Tandy), Victor (Wendy), Geralda (Rick) and Eric (Bev). Son of the late Ronald and Bruneatta Vowles. Art was a Retired Employee of Peterborough County Roads Dept. after 37 years of dedicated service; he was also very honoured to have served as a council member for Hiawatha First Nations. Art had an enormous love for the outdoors, capturing the excitement of hunting and fishing. Art will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Visiting will be held at Ashburnham Funeral Home, 840 Armour Rd. Peterborough, on Wednesday March 22, 2017 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and the funeral service will be March 23, 2017 at 11:00 am with a reception to follow.
